ARTIST STATEMENT

Updated 2026

Through ceramics, sculpture, and mixed media, I explore the tension between outward perfection and internal conflict. My work examines personal struggles with mental health and body image, transforming subjects that once felt unspeakable into tangible forms.

I approach these themes with vulnerability and honesty, creating space for connection and reflection. By bringing what is often hidden into view, my work invites viewers to confront their own experiences and consider how openness and empathy can loosen the grip of shame.

At the same time, my practice celebrates the tactility of material. Experimenting with processes and learning new skills brings a sense of curiosity and joy to the work. Across my work, themes often intersect—identity and place, the celebration of form and function, play and aesthetics, and a deep respect for craft.
