ABOUT

Johnston grew up on a farm in Cando, ND. Encouraged by supportive parents and early creative opportunities through 4-H projects, book reports, and summer art camps, her interest in the arts developed from a young age.

She graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2019 with a BFA in Fine Arts and Emphasis in Ceramics. Shortly after she began working as a teaching artist while also serving in a variety of roles including program assistant and executive assistant.

Currently residing in Fargo, ND, Johnston enjoys spending time with friends and family, caring for her two cats—Howdy and Nora—and exploring other creative and physical outlets such as crochet, swimming, and kickboxing.
